Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a procedure in which tiny crystals are sprayed across your face using a combination of gentle abrasion and suction to remove the outer layer of dead skin. This stimulates the production of skin cells and collagen. The immediate results are that your skin feels softer, smoother, and looks younger. Microderabrasion is also very effective in correcting fine lines, age spots, and acne scars. As with other skin rejuvenation techniques, more than one treatment may be needed to reduce or remove fine wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation.

The advantage of the microdermabrasion procedure is that it typically takes about half an hour. Another advantage is the short recovery time. Microdermabrasion produces minimal redness and swelling lasting a few hours to a few days. In most cases normal activities can be continued immediately.

Microderabrasion is best suited for someone looking for a noninvasive skin rejuvanation treatment for superficial skin irregularities, such as fine lines, small scars, or hyperpigmentation.
